Sao Paulo, 24. March 2015 - We are very pleased to had opportunity to promote Slovenian ICT solutions and knowledge in such prospective market as Brazil. Business delegation to Sao Paulo was organised by the Slovenian ICT Asssociation ZITex and it's export oriented group of ICT companies.
On the second day of the formal visit to Brazil, Minister Erjavec joined the delegation and opened a business conference hosted by the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP). In his address, he welcomed the dynamic efforts to enhance economic cooperation between Slovenia and Brazil, and expected that the intensity of contacts which began last year with the first meeting of the Slovenian-Brazilian Joint Commission would bring concrete results. He underlined that the Slovenian ICT sector, which is being presented in São Paulo today, is one of the most vibrant and export-oriented sectors of the Slovenian economy. In the presence of members of the Slovenian business delegation, representatives of the Slovenian community in Brazil and high representatives of FIESP, Minister Erjavec also attended the ceremonial opening of the Slovenian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce where the founding members signed the statute.
During his visit, the Minister also met the Vice-Governor of the State of São Paulo, Márcio França, in the largest and most important business centre of Brazil. The talks focused on strengthening economic cooperation. The Minister thanked the Vice-Governor for the concern devoted to Slovenians in Brazil by the State of São Paulo, where most of them reside. The counterparts also advocated enhanced cooperation in other fields of common interest. Minister Erjavec invited his host to participate in the 10th edition of Bled Strategic Forum.
